The job and primary tasks

• Working as part of a team in a research laboratory include planning and conducting research experiments in the field of classic organic and bioconjugation chemistry.
• Structural modification of complex organic molecules with the application of synthetic chemical transformations
• Design and carry out bioconjugation reaction for immunoassay development: protein-small molecule (etc. dye) and protein-protein coupling (include reaction conditions optimization, purification of the product)
• Immobilize molecules to solid-phase surfaces or particles
• Responsible for analyzing and interpreting scientific results

• Upholding policies, laboratory protocols and recording all progress, summarizing findings into reports

Qualification and Experience

• University degree (BSc/MSc) in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields
• 1-3 years’ laboratory experience in the field of chemistry
• Knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry with good experimental skills
• Good communication skills in both Hungarian and English (written and verbal)

• Willingness and ability to collaborate with influencing other individuals and groups in a positive, team-based environment
• Eager to learn new methods, processes, and technologies (protein and bioconjugation chemistry, understanding immunoassay)
• Ability to work independently where necessary
• Attention to detail and work with a sense of urgency and can be impartial and objective, keeping deadlines
