Technology Risk Officer

Our Citi Technology Infrastructure - Middleware team is looking for a Technology Risk Officer for managing and supporting multiple risk and control programs for the organization including defining the strategy, approach, processes, quality, tools and reporting that provide global risk management consistency and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with business partners on findings and makes recommendations on improving practices.

• Develops procedural implementation and change management process with Operations and Reporting team to ensure proper governance and controls exist.

• Establishes quarterly Risk and Control Assessment (QRA) process of attributes to ensure proper calculation and control.

• Identifies and assigns key metrics (e.g. KRI/KPIs) to support effective monitoring and management of operational risk including controls assurance and ensure issues identified and corrective actions are raised to address gaps.

• Follows through corrective action plans (CAP) to resolve identified issues either by management or audit.

• Works to maximize MCA (Manager Control Assessment) completeness and IBAM (Issues being addressed by management) ratios.

• Supports key stakeholders in internal and /or external audits.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years relevant work experience in a Technology Risk & Controls role.

• Understanding Data management, Applications, Infrastructure, Networks on a strong level is required (MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus).

• Understanding of at least one technology infrastructure area (Middleware Technology is a plus).

• Effective organizational influencing skills required.

• Third party vendor management preferred.

• Excellent problem solving skills.

• Fluency in English.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree.
