We are looking for an enthusiastic Floor Manager to join our team.

The DC (data center) Floor Management team is positioned within the Services & Infrastructure (SIN) directorate and is a sub-team of the Group Data Centers department. Together with the other Group Data Centers teams, we take care of the hosting and management of the KBC ICT infrastructure.

The DC Floor Management team is responsible for providing data center services with the main focus on all physical IMACD activities (installation, move, add, change, disposal of ICT infrastructure) within the Western European & Central European data centers of KBC Group, located in Belgium and Hungary.

What your job will be:

  • You will work on the operational management of the KBC group DC’s, together with the service delivery organization, to provide the highest possible availability of the critical data center environments
  • You work closely with other IT colleagues and the facilities department to plan future ICT installations and meet the customer’s expectations.
  • You maintain a high level of quality when managing operational tasks but are not afraid to take on strategic challenges and manage critical projects at the team or Group Data Centers level.
  • You maintain a high level of independence when translating customers’ expectations into practical solutions. You will communicate and coordinate with the team to implement these solutions
  • You strive towards creative and proactive solutions, within the boundaries of professional data center management principles or guidelines, to minimize business service interruptions.
  • You are open to participating in internal and external courses to enrich your data center management skills and use your knowledge to support the continuous evolution of the data center floor management environment
  • You are available to work in an on-call duty cycle and once in a while implement changes after office hours or during weekends.
  • You are ok to occasionally travel abroad

What we expect from You:

  • You preferable have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or electrical engineering. Affinity or experience with datacenters of facility services management is an advantage.
  • We are looking for a highly motivated colleague with a lot of positive energy. Someone who can be assertive, persuasive and diplomatic when needed.
  • You are someone who loves taking responsibility and are not afraid of working independently. Organizational skills and flexibility to support the organization are not an issue.

  • You are result-oriented, risk-aware and continuously looking to improve the quality of services
  • You have solid English communication skills, both verbal and written. You can cooperate constructively and professionally with colleagues throughout the organization.
  • You professionally deal with changing scopes due to organizational evolutions or operational priorities.
