Network Design/Architect Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Solution Development:

• Expertise Utilization: Recognized as an expert within the division, capable of making critical implementation decisions.
• Solution Design: Develops accurate, viable solutions by leveraging industry knowledge and integrating components, products, and tools.
• Quality Assurance: Reviews and approves project artifacts to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
• Trend Integration: Keeps abreast of IT trends and developments, incorporating them into projects where appropriate.

2. Service Delivery:

• Innovative Solutions: Applies in-depth knowledge of IT disciplines to design and deliver innovative solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Client Communication: Interfaces with mid-level and senior client leadership, providing technical presentations and expertise.
• Leadership in Solution Architecture: Demonstrates leadership in solution architecture, design, development, testing, configuration, deployment, and maintenance.
• Project Oversight: Provides technical oversight for project proposals and ensures solutions are valid and complete.
• Quality Delivery: Ensures successful delivery of solutions, maintaining integrity and quality of implementation artifacts and deliverables.

3. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

• Relationship Building: Establishes productive working relationships with third-party companies and within the division to facilitate best practices.
• Networking: Promotes Unisys and personal capabilities by networking with peers in other companies and participating in professional organizations and user groups.
• Mentorship: Serves as a technology mentor, sharing expertise and knowledge with peers across project teams and the division.

4. People Management:

• Team Leadership: May lead teams by assigning and reviewing tasks, providing formal management, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Service Provider Oversight: Monitors the performance of internal and external service providers to ensure project quality and timely delivery.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree: A degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in one or more technical disciplines, or equivalent experience.

Technical and Project Experience:

• Multi-Disciplined Project Teams: Significant contributions to project teams to design, develop, deliver, and maintain technical solutions that meet client requirements.
• Solution Implementation: Advanced knowledge in solution implementation techniques within their area of expertise.
• Project Roles: Experience in several project-related roles, such as:
  • Implementer
  • Integrator
  • Test Analyst
  • System Administrator
  • Tool Specialist
  • Support Engineer
  • Team Leader
  • Architect

Professional Background:

• Client Exposure: Interaction with clients across a variety of industries and domains.
• Leadership Influence: Proven ability to interact and influence mid-level and senior client leadership.

Certifications:

• Industry Certifications: Multiple certifications in their area of expertise are nice to have
