Senior Developer - Network automation

What we are specifically looking for as a goal with this position:

To improve our development team capabilities working on a software product in area of Network Automation that covers the functions of Continuous Deployment, Lifecycle Management and Application Configuration. The aim is to provide our customers Network Functions automatic delivery and configuration with all the necessary pre and post provisioning activities.

By joining us you will take part in the software development of products designed on GitOps principles following the concept of intent-based automation. You will design and implement new code but also reuse the modern open-source components available on the market, integrating them and completing with our own code with the goal of productization.

As a Senior Software Engineer your job is to:

• Design, implement & maintain the software product: developing new components but also reusing and integrating already existing open-source or Nokia internal components to reach the aimed functionalities.
• Be involved in all phases of a development lifecycle: understand and analyze product requirements; develop new software code; and finally take part in testing and verification.
• Participate in the teamwork following Agile/Scrum practices: You will estimate work amounts in own area, participate in detail work planning’s and develop the planned results.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and environments.
• Cooperate daily with other Nokia teams worldwide

The ideal candidate should be in possession of most of the following technical skills:

• Education: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering or related fields.
• Understanding and some hands-on knowledge of container technologies (K8S, Docker, HELM, K8S operators…)
• Experience in Go and/or Python languages.
• Linux configuration and scripting skills with the ability to run/configure applications on Linux
• Knowledge of Jenkins based CI/CD environment.
